Improving students’ attitude of gratitude and innovation
… through the classroom
A classroom is the most holy place that has the grass roots for all innovations in this world, understanding different societies, their practices, and shaping up one’s personality.
The changes that occur in such a classroom are everlasting. All of this depends on the classroom environment, which is an excellent and incredibly growing factor. The primary responsibility for building such an environment always rests with the teacher, regardless of management support. These techniques are part of how a classroom works, but the teacher’s ability to instil such values in young minds is crucial. Teachers’ patience may be tried at times, but if they persist with it, they will eventually succeed.
Let’s examine the role that the classroom plays in expressing gratitude for their own.
Those that are self-grateful will experience significant growth in life.
Classroom occurrences — Student responses — Teacher’s role:
There are a number of incidents in the classroom that each could respond and give his/her reason to the discussions that happen. The classroom environment must be set in such a way that the students should first logically support their claims to themselves before presenting them to the class. This phase promotes student accountability for their activities and the ability to ask proper questions. Later on, the classroom may see more productive and progressive participation.
Seeds of self-gratitude — Innovation:
Most of the time, teachers could observe the students’ unique responses. Teachers’ compassion to know what is excellent in the method of thinking can sometimes contribute to the uniqueness of the students’ thinking process, even if it is incorrect in the current context. Having the appropriate appreciation could make it easier for the student to answer the next question. The ability to delve deeply into one’s understanding would develop into a strength for the student over time.
However, sometimes things can go wrong, but other times they do so for amazing reasons. Both situations offer students a great chance to discover more about themselves through the classroom community.
When something is done incorrectly, there is a chance to make it right or to re-learn; when something is done correctly, there is a chance to own the solution, which produces the feeling of innovation. By doing so, students will be forced to overcome limiting beliefs and develop empowering ones.
Initially having gratitude over these small innovations opens the door for greater achievements. It’s normal to feel down now and then; the key is to pull yourself up by remembering your past victories and the grit you displayed along the way. This leads to a low to glow.
The future value of this innovative spirit to the students is un-estimated. It leads to surpassing all boundaries. When we consider the quantity of success stories of legends, it will prove to be true. Of course, this classroom will have to deal with individuals who are excessively proud of themselves at times.
Lastly, an attitude of gratitude and a sense of inventiveness in their new learning is one component in fostering positive learning in the classroom environment. Self-gratitude will make people more grateful in general as they get older.
